Over 100 Years of Service
About Us

Who We Are

At Daneri Mortuary, we are invested in helping families confronted by death and providing comfortable facilities, helpful resources, and knowledge
Our funeral director and supportive staff are committed to ensuring your family is confident in decisions made during this time, whether basic or complex.

We are proud of our relationships with families throughout Jackson, CA, and surrounding areas over the years. As a pre-planning authority, Daneri Mortuary is dedicated to easing families and obliging all wishes and requests during a difficult time.

Since 1902

Our Story

21-year-old James Daneri took over the county’s only mortuary in 1902, and the services were standard. When needs arose, a horse-drawn hearse had to be rented from a local stable. By 1918, the purchase of a horseless carriage hearse was allowed to serve the community better.

Today, Daneri Mortuary continues to change with the times and does its best to meet our community’s expanding needs. What remains the same is our commitment to providing professional and caring service to families.

Expanding Service Since 1902

Since 1902, the Daneri family has aimed to deliver excellent service and build community trust. Today, our full-service mortuary results from community trust built on decades of experience in providing caring support and quality service. We offer many different services, including Sunset View Cemetery, a crematorium, columbarium, and mausoleum.

We’re Here For You

Our sensitive and attentive staff is proud to serve the community with professionalism and excellence. Families find comfort and support when choosing to work with Daneri Mortuary because we are also their neighbors. With a century-long service record, we are a pre-planning authority dedicated to freeing families of painful decisions and tedious paperwork and ensuring a seamless process.

No one or one thing, in particular, inspired Christopher into this profession. He was at a crossroads in life and yielded to this career to satiate a need to serve. The part of his career he finds most enjoyable is cemetery development, especially in prearrangements.

Christopher thinks of himself as meticulous, conscientious, and family-oriented. Some of his goals include getting more involved with pre-arranging and preparing to be a great father. He hopes to preserve the traditions of Daneri Mortuary for years to come.

In his free time, he enjoys music.
