Obituary For Carol Barber Demcak

My adored wife, Carol Barber Demcak, passed away from Alzheimer’s Disease on
Monday, April 25, 2022, at our home in Volcano, CA. Carol was 69 years old. I had the
delight of sharing 50 years of marriage with Carol, and the privilege of caring for her
until the very end. Carol was my beloved helper, soul mate and protector and a faithful
servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. I miss her every day, but rejoice that Carol is now in
heaven with her Savior. Hallelujah!

Carol was born in 1953 in San Jose, the daughter of E. Allen and Carole Barber. Carol
grew up with her siblings, Steve, and Diana, in San Carlos and Los Altos, graduating
from Awalt High School, Mountain View, in 1971. She attended De Anza Junior
College received her CNA certificate and worked at Stanford Hospital. Carol’s life was
filled with treasured family and good friends, a bevy of much-loved cats and dogs, and
service in each of the churches we attended. Carol especially loved children and had a
fervent desire to protect the life of the unborn, dedicating much of her time and
resources to local pregnancy care centers.

Carol is survived by Francis Demcak, her loving husband; mother, Carole Barber of
San Jose; brother, Stephan (Lauren) Barber of Morgan Hill; sister, Diana (Perry) Muzyka
of San Jose; parents-in-law, George and Betty Demcak of Pioneer; and brother-in-law
Michael (Jennine) Demcak of Fortuna. Carol was the “fun aunt” to many nieces and
nephews. Carol was predeceased by her father, and brother-in-law George Demcak
and his wife, Nancy.

A Celebration of Life service for Carol will be held at Church at the Cross in Pine Grove
on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00a.m. Memorial contributions may be sent in Carol’s name to Church at the
Cross, 21895 Homestead Road, Pine Grove CA 95665.

I was saddened to hear yesterday that Carol had passed. Even though I haven't seen Carol and Fran in many years, I still have great memories of her from our youth. We all had a lot of fun together in those days enjoying food, friends and laughs. She was well-loved and will be remembered in our hearts.
