Obituary For Julie Ann Villescaz Hardin
Julie (Julee) Ann Villescaz-Hardin passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 35 at her home in Pine Grove, California on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.
Julee is survived by her loving husband, Kevin David Lee Hardin and her 17 month old daughter, Remedee Dawn Fern Jade Hardin; her mother, Therasa Villescaz-Karratti and father, Karl Karratti (aka Madderdaddy); grandmother, Debra Gedgate; brothers, Jazz, Jackie, and Johnny Ogilvie; mother-in-law, Shajna Hargrove and father-in-law Kevin R. Hardin; sister-in-laws Annie Ogilvie, Lexie Hardin, and Irie Hardin; brother-in-law, RJ Jarrell; great in-laws, Cherre and Bill Campus; nephews, Elijah, Ezra, Ayden, Steven, Tristen, Korben, and Awstyn, and “nieces” Naticia and Faliciana; many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a multitude of close family friends. Julee was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, John Gedgate.
Julee was born in Decatur, Illinois on October 7, 1986 but spent most of her life in Amador County, where she attended Amador High School. She also spent time in Santa Barbara and Sacramento, where she worked predominantly as a bartender. Julee’s unapologetic exuberance and zest for life enabled her to make many lifelong friends, and always kept her customers coming back, wherever she worked.
If any of you knew Julee, then you know she would not take No for an answer; the answer was always Yes to Julee. She has often been dubbed “the Queen” for good reason. She was loud, proud, and fiercely loyal to all who knew her, and if you were in her life, you were family.
To say Julee was headstrong is an understatement. She survived many hardships and overcame numerous obstacles in her life. Most recently, she survived breast cancer in 2017.
Shortly after her recovery, Julee met the love of her life, Kevin. They married on July 4 (their favorite holiday) in 2018. They immediately started planning their family. As mentioned before, Julee was headstrong. When doctors told her she had little chance of having a baby, post cancer, she defied the odds and set out to make her dream of having a child a reality. Their daughter, Remedee (the miracle child) was born on December 29, 2020. Their time together as a family will always be remembered as one of the most precious moments in their lives. Julee was truly blessed and overjoyed to be a mom and a wife. Her last years on this earth were spent in absolute bliss, raising her baby girl alongside her husband, with the help and support of her entire family.
Julee will be laid to rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Daneri’s Mortuary in Jackson, CA at 1:00 PM, with visitation from 9:00-1:00 PM. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of Julee’s friends and family for donating to the GoFundMe account. Because of your generosity, we are able to send our angel into eternity where we know God will welcome her with open and loving arms. We are eternally grateful.
