Obituary For Kevin Owen Bligh

Kevin Owen Bligh passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022at his home in Ione, CA at the age of 73 years old. He was born in Palo Alto, CA on November 27, 1948, a son of the late Mildred Jeanne (Bowman) and George Francis Bligh.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Sally Hughes Aiken of Ione, CA; two sons Jeff (Lisa) Bligh of Ione, CA, and Mike (Kara) Bligh of Ione, CA; Kevin is also survived by
two sisters, Becky (Jeff) Greene and Kerry Bligh; brother, Steve (Bonnie) Bligh. He is also survived by his first granddaughter due July 6, 2022. Kevin is preceded in death by his brother, Dave Bligh.

Kevin put a smile on everyone’s face. He always had a story to tell. He was loved dearly by his two sons and wife and loved them back with all his soul. Family get-togethers were the highlight of his life followed by golf games with his many friends. He touched the lives of many and enriched the lives of all he knew. We are grateful to have had a man such as him in our lives as a friend, father, and husband.

Dear Sally and family, I am so sorry to hear that Kevin passed so unexpectedly. Kevin and I worked at LSI together in the late 80's and early 90's. Some of my sweetest, funniest and most seminal memories of my whole career were with him. He always had my back. Always. We filled his whole cubicle with balloons one year. I remember one business trip to Compaq computer and in a really serious meeting one of our coworkers said something incredibly ridiculous during his presentation and Kevin got the giggles and I could see his shoulders shaking. He tried to bury his face in his briefcase but it didn't work and he ran out of the room and as the door closed he burst out laughing BWAAHAAAHAAA😂. I was done. I laughed until my ribs hurt. Needless to say that was not our best moment with compaq but I'll remember it and remember Kevin as one of the kindest, most caring and nice people I've ever had the privilege to know.
