Obituary For Robert Dale Green
Robert Dale Green Jr passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Sacramento, CA at the age of 60 years old. He was born in Pittsburg, CA on June 9, 1961, a son of Robert Dale Green Sr. and the late Grace Poor.
Robert is survived by three daughters, Dawn (Robert Leeper) Green of Sacramento, CA, Heather Green of Broken Arrow, OK, and Brittney Green of Portland, ME; two sons, Robert (Amber) Green of Broken Arrow, OK and Shaun Green of Broken Arrow, OK. He is also survived by grandchildren, Michael, Chesney-Rose, Jocelyn, Izabelle, Baylei, Lucian, Jeremiah, Anastasia, and Brett. Robert is preceded in death by his mom, Grace and granddaughter, Ivy Grace Leeper.
Robert attended and graduated Antioch High School in 1979 and then attended Diablo Valley College for some college credits. He loved shining up his Tru Spokes and cruising in his Riviera when he was in high school. He spent many years working as a General Laborer in the Construction and Oil Industry. He enjoyed raising pigeons. He was a lifelong Raiders fan, a collector of Thor Memorabilia, loved Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, UFO, Rush, Thin Lizzy and so many other classic rock artists. He was affectionately called "Big Poppa" and liked to turn up "Big Poppa" by Biggie, whenever it came on. Robert enjoyed playing guitars and collecting them as well. His most proud moments in life took place on December 29th, 1983, June 24th, 1984, August 9th, 1986, December 6th, 1988, and May 22nd, 1990; each time adding another kid to the family. He was a proud father and grandfather. He would give the shirt of his back if needed. His love of his family left an indelible mark, and he will be missed.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 1:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, CA. Memorial contributions may be sent in Robert’s name to American Cancer Society 1710 Webster St. Oakland, CA 94612.
