Obituary of John Larry Willhite

John Larry Willhite, 78, of Pine Grove, CA, passed away Saturday, March 4th, 2023, in San Joaquin County. John was born in Stockton, Ca on July 16, 1944, son of the late Viola Lulu Roper and Henry George Willhite. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a Supervisor at Asplundh Tree Service for 20 years and was a resident of Calaveras co. for 16 years, before moving to Amador Co. for 16 years. He was a long-time member of American Legion Post 108, Moose Lodge Or. Grange Or. He loved hunting and fishing, along with landscaping commercially and privately, and spending time with his girls. He was a member of New Life Christian Center in Jackson CA and also attended Mt. Zion Assembly in Pine Grove for many years. He was a sharp dresser, made sure his slacks were perfectly creased for church every Sunday, always keeping a meticulous toolbox, garage, and yard. John is survived by wife Margaret Emmaline Ross; daughter, Lesley Marie Willhite, of Jackson, Ca; son, John Edward Willhite, of Aloha, Or. Grandchildren; Rachael Miller, Emily Miller, Billy Miller, Johnny Willhite Jr., Jennifer Willhite, Great Grandchildren; Paislee Weston, Abigail McIntosh/ and numerous nieces and nephews.
