Obituary of Dixie E Pinelli

Dixie E. Pinelli passed away January 25, 2023, at her home in Sutter Creek, CA at the age of 83 after a brave battle with Lewy Body Disease. She was born to parents Wally and Nellie (Buzza) Heizer. After graduation from Sutter Creek high school Dixie attended Dental Assistant school in San Francisco then returned to Amador County to work in Jackson, she worked as an Eligibility Worker for the Welfare Department, then at the Amador County Recorder's office until her retirement. She loved to travel, and she and Ron traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. She loved thrift stores and garage sales and no matter what town she was in if she saw a sale sign, she would have to go check it out. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Dixie was able to stay in the comfort of her home the last year and a half of her life due to her loving caregivers, primarily her devoted daughter Linda, her granddaughter Jessica, great grandson Gage Roddy and the assistance of Interim Healthcare staff, Penny Oliveri and Barbara Barnhart. Dixie was married to the love of her life, Ron Pinelli for 60 years until his passing in August of 2021. She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Linda (Kevin) Nafus; son, Ken (Michelle) Pinelli; grandchildren, Jason Thawley, Jeffrey (Tonya) Randall, Jessica Chiero, and Dominic Pinelli; great grandchildren, Gage, Blaise, Nico, Louie, Boden, Rebel, Jacey, and Taylor. Per Dixie's wishes there will be no services.
