Obituary of Donald "Donny" Tillery

Donald "Donny" James Tillery passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Reno, NV at the age of 50 years old. He was born in Sacramento, CA on January 26, 1972, a son of Loreta D. (Driol) and Michael Bud Tillery Donald is survived by his mother, Loreta Tillery of Ione, CA; father, Michael Tillery companion of Mary of Ione, CA; a daughter, Olyvia Tillery of Ione, CA; two sons Gavin Tillery of Pheonix, AZ and Daegon Tillery of Ione, CA; a brother, Michael, husband of Jessica Tillery of Ione, CA; nieces, Tala Glavenich of Ione, CA, Nicolette Tillery of Ireland, and Presley Brandt of Ione, CA. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Donny was a graduate of Argonaut High School in 1990 and attended Sierra College. For 30 years he worked as a correctional officer at Mule Creek Prison and Preston School of Industry. Recently retiring this year, he loved his kids, motorcycle riding, swimming, and being surrounded by family. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, CA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Evelyn Bishop Hall in Ione, CA. With a graveside service to follow at the Ione Public Cemetery in Ione, CA.
