Obituary of Millicent "Mitzi" Paul

Millicent "Mitzi" Paul passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, in Jackson, CA at the age of 91 years old. She was born in Akron, OH on July 30, 1931, a daughter of the late Mary (Rakich) and Alexander - Pavlov. Millicent is survived by her daughter in law, Danica Paul of Jackson, CA; grandchildren, Tommy "Krista" Paul (Owen) of San Rafael, CA, Matthew Paul (Liza) of San Ramon, CA; as well as 6 nephews, and 1 niece. She is preceded in death by son, Thomas Paul, sister, Helen Kavon; brothers, Robert Paul and George Paul. Mitzi was a past member of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church and Isidor Bajic choir in Akron, OH, St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and choir in Oakland, CA and St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Jackson, CA. Mitzi was a founding member of the Serbian Orthodox Choral Association (SOCA). She was an executive secretary for 44 years ending her career as the secretary for the chief of Protocol for the state of California under Governor George Deukmejian. A prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Jackson, CA. A funeral service will take place Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at St Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in Jackson, CA followed by a graveside service at the Serbian Cemetery in Colma, CA.
