Obituary of Peter Braxton Hansell

Peter Braxton Hansell passed away Friday, October 14, 2022, in Pine Grove, CA at the age of 70 years old. He was born in Oroville, CA on December 14, 1951, a son of the late Darlene Dell (Whipple) and William Braxton Hansell. Peter is survived by four sisters, Kathryn Williams of Martinez, CA, Marygail Bender of Chico, CA, Joan Moody of Grover Beach, CA, and Bonnie, wife of Richard Short of Somerset, KY; and a brother, Michael, husband of Misty Hansell of Granite Bay, CA. He is also survived by a niece and two nephews. Peter is preceded in death by his wife, Ann in 2008. Peter spent his career with PG& E, working for them for over forty years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved taking his dogs in the mountains for hikes. Peter loved the mountains but always said he liked Pine Grove because it only got occasional snow. Over the years he was also devoted to his dogs and to his miniature donkeys that he and his wife enjoyed taking to community events. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Amador Memorial Cemetery in Pioneer, CA. A reception will follow in Pine Grove.
