Tom and I go way back. Playing hockey for the Westwood Suns , coaching PeeWee hockey at Lo-Tor ice arena, driving school busses in Patterson N.J. Hanging out having fun in everything we did. All this back in the '70's. Although we lost Touch with one another over the years I never forgot you and my fond memories of our years as friends . You will never be forgotten Sun Brother. Rest In Peace. My sincere condolences to Bev and son, Ralph, Suzanne, and Caroline. .......Jim Mayers

I met Tom about 5 years ago when he began playing golf at Castle Oaks as part of the Senior Mens Club. He quickly became a friend to many of us. Tom usually had a smile on his face, a great attitude and a good golf game. His friends at Castle Oaks will miss him.

My life has been enriched because of Tom. I had the privilege of serving with Tom on the La Contenta Golf Club board. He was always willing to assist and help out whenever anyone asked. He did so with his warm and gentle smile and demeanor. I loved playing golf with him. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him.

Beg and Allister, so sorry for your loss! Tom was such a nice person! When I worked in the cart barn at La Contenta and the mens club had tournaments. I could never go in and have dinner because I was to busy. Tom made time to bring me a plate of food and always asked how I was doing. At Christmas time he would bring me a card and put $10 in the card for me! I was very appreciative of the kind gestures! He always had a smile, never heard him swear! He will be missed by many people. Joseph White

I feel my life changed once I met Tom. I had the honor of working with Tom and serving along side Tom on the Local 2019 Board and the EBMUD Values Embedding Team. Tom always wanted the best for all his coworkers and setting the best example of living our values: Stewardship, Integrity, Respect and Teamwork. Even after he retired he wanted updates. Tom took me in introduced me to as he called her: My Beautiful Bev. Bev and I instantly became friends and when I stayed at their home Tom spoiled Bev and I waiting on us hand and food. He loved his family Bev and Al so much and enjoyed traveling as long as no cruises! (I don't get that one! Lol) Tom was the most supportive, kind and encouraging man I have ever met. Tom I love you and miss you and will eventually go back to golf to keep my promise to you. Diane

Bev and Al, I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was the nicest person I have ever been privileged to be associated with. He was a very good friend, a great role model for all. His temperament has helped me in a lot of ways. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, except the deer that kept eating his plants. He will be truly be missed by all that knew him. He has brought smiles to all who had the privilege to play golf with him. His signature comment, " What a shame", will be constantly repeated after every missed putt and bad shot. I miss him a lot. Tom by far ,was the kindest person I have ever known. Tom never hesitated when I needed help he drove me to UCD so many times and I am sure he never counted. I shared my life stories with him. For I felt my number would be up soon why I outlived him is truly hard to understand for without him I may have given up. Tom helped me with what I needed to keep going yet now he is gone. When its my turn to go ........Please Lord make Tom my neighbor.......... Kent Guymon

Dear Bev and Allister. Di and I are so sorry for your loss. Tom was always a class act. Somebody we all wanted to emulate..... Perhaps a look back on Tom's life before he "headed West". I played college hockey with Tom many years ago. He was a rock solid, quiet leader of our team. He scored the tying goal in a playoff game for us. Without Tom's contribution, no OT win and no first championship for our team! Tom lead by example with a smile and quiet confidence that was contagious. Never a rah rah guy, just somebody that "did the job". I am so sad to know he is gone. I will miss him until we play together again in heaven.
