Obituary of Harry Wilson

Harry Wilson of West Point passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at Lodi Memorial Hospital in Lodi at the age of 84 years. He was born June 30, 1925 to George and Ella (Shelton) Wilson in Murphys, CA. Harry came from a family of four girls and six boys. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. Harry worked as a logger and a truck driver, retiring from the Calaveras County Road Department. He was a long time resident of Calaveras County. Harry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Sayers and her husband, James, and Arlene Wilson all of West Point; sister, Dora Geto of Valliceto, CA; brother-in-law, Lester Mose of West Point; the children of his loving step-son, Edward Wilson who preceded him in death; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a visitation Thursday, May 27 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson. A funeral service will be held Friday, May 28 at 2:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. Interment will be in the West Point Cemetery in West Point, CA.
