Obituary of Thomas Michael Curia

It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Curia announce his sudden passing on March 23, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on March 15, 1954, in Long Beach, CA to Nancy and Tony Curia. After graduating from Lawndale High School, he enlisted in the US Army, where he served for 22 years.

He married the love of his life, Barbara, in 1973 and were with each other through all of life's ups and downs. After military life of moving around, they finally found their forever home in Amador City. Tom was a devoted husband, loving father, and beloved friend. He had a contagious laugh and a warm welcoming smile. He had a love of woodworking, long country drives, and spending quality time with his family. He would often be found watching sports, assembling puzzles, and enjoying music at Binz and the local nights in Amador City.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his children, Jennifer, and Christopher; his brothers, Rich and John; his brothers-in-law, Joe, John, Kevin and Charles; his sisters-in-law, Peggy, Lisa, Theresa, and Kathy; his many nephews and nieces; and his 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Bob and Paul Curia as well as sister-in-law, Shirley White.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the VFW Hall in Ione, CA.
