Obituary of Margie June Tretheway

Margie June Tretheway, our angel, left us on this earth, February 26, 2024, to join those waiting for her in heaven. She was 76 years old, born January 28, 1948, in Hayward, CA to Lige and Cleo (Smith) Shults. She was the glue that held our family together. Margie loved her family and friends, her "kids" she drove for Blue Mountain Transit (Jackson, CA) and Storer Transportation (Modesto, CA), her community, and the beautiful mountains that she spent so many years exploring. She spent most of her time cooking, baking, fishing, playing slots, laughing, dancing to music, painting, yard selling, and making many special memories alongside her family members and friends. What an honor to have loved and been loved by her. Margie is survived by her daughters, Sandy (Steve) Gwaltney, Tracy (Kevin, Sr.) Gwaltney; son, Tim (Kathy) O'Donnell; sisters, Ruth, Patty (Pearce), Judy (Gary); brother, Hubert; grandchildren, Cassandra, Katrina, Jennifer, Thomas, Kristine, Shane, Kevin Jr., Jacob, Amanda, Jessica; many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents (Lige and Cleo Shults; daughter, Karen O'Donnell; grandson Steven, sister, Lola; and brother, Jimmy.

A celebration of Margie's life will be held at the Community Center at 33 Church St. Sutter Creek, CA on April 27, 2024, from 11am to 4pm. We would love anyone who'd like to attend to be there to celebrate the beautiful life she lived.
