Obituary of Barry Hoff

Barry George Hoff, resident of Sutter Creek, CA, passed away on March 12, 2011 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on December 17, 1947 in Palo Alto, CA. He was a graduate of Hoover High School in Fresno, CA, and achieved a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from California State University, Sacramento. At the time of death, Barry was the Service Manager for ThyssenKrupp Elevator Corporation in West Sacramento, CA. Barry was passionate about his work and his many friends. Barry was a woodworker enthusiast and the co-founder of Gold Country Woodworkers and Crafters in Amador County. He had a zest for life, and shared many motorcycle adventures and neighborhood barbeques with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jane Hoff; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Debra J. Hoff of Parker, CO; grandchildren, Laura, Dustin, Geoffrey, Jamie and Zackery; brothers, Howard Hoff, Jr. of Campbell, CA, Craig Buswell of Los Gatos, CA, Michael Hoff of Hawaii; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Seaman of Eugene, OR, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Barbee of Tipton, CA, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Semple of Coalinga, CA and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Hoff, Dorothe Kaney and brother, Bryan Hoff. Barry's family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to their many family and friends too numerous to name who have provided support and loving care. Special thanks is extended to the Grace Fellowship family who provide ongoing spiritual support and guidance. A celebration of life for Barry will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Fellowship Church, 8040 South State Highway 49, Jackson, CA 95642, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sandra J.Schulze, American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, 711 Second St. NW, Rochester, MN 55901-2814
