Obituary of George Charles Jorgensen

George Charles Jorgensen age 86 of Jackson, California, passed peacefully Wednesday March 2, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, June Jorgensen, son Paul Jorgensen, grandson Brian Jorgensen and his wife Joy, great granddaughter Cora Rose Jorgensen and a large extended family including his adoring daughter in law Barbara, step grandson Aaron and their families. Born in Oakland, California November 2, 1924, George lived in Jackson, California with his wife June for all of their 65 years together. A World War II Air Force Veteran, George retired in 1986 from many years in auto body repair. He loved golf, bowling, fishing, playing cards and hunting. He had a great sense of humor and very honest simple approach to life. George will be forever missed and never forgotten by family and friends. Services will be held on March 9th 2pm at Daneri Mortuary 415 Broadway, Jackson. Donations can be made to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras County.
