Obituary of Helen Laura Watkins

Helen Laura (Birkenmeier) Watkins passed away peacefully at Kaiser Hospital in Antioch, CA on February 12, 2011. She lived at 49er Trailer Village in Plymouth, CA for 26 years and loved playing bingo at the Senior Center in Jackson, CA. Her favorite thing to do was cheer on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals baseball team of which she was a fan her entire life. Helen is survived by her 2 brothers, Bill and Bob Birkenmeier; 3 daughters, Janice Smiley, Kathy Heiny, and Judy Wilcox; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a visitation Thursday, February 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, CA. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 18 at 10:00 A.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson, CA and a graveside service at 2:00 P.M. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Road in Lafayette, CA. She will be resting with her husband, Clifton Watkins, whom preceded her in death.
