Obituary of Margaret Hamilton

Margaret Hamilton passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Ione at the age of 95 years. She was born January 10, 1916 to Jeremiah and Emma (Silva) Nelson in Eureka, California. She lived in Eureka until the age of 14, graduating from Fork Union High School. In 1934 at the age of 19 she married Ivan Ebersole. They would move many times throughout California in search of work. Margaret landed a job at Campbell Soup Company in Sacramento in 1956 and continued to work there until retiring in 1981. Margaret enjoyed traveling with her family, cruising to the Caribbean or Mexico and caravanning by motor home through Alaska. At home she loved embroidering, crocheting and reading. She had an incredible memory, was very inspirational and grateful for her wonderful life, family and good friends. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Wilcox and husband Melvin of Utah, Betty MacDonald of Ione, Richard Ebersole of Citrus Heights and seventeen grandchildren. She is preceded by children, Patricia Brown, Linda Ebersole and Jerri Ebersole. At Margaret's request there will only be private family services. Inurnment will be private.
