Obituary of Doug "Dr. Doug" Morean

"Dr. Doug" Morean passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2010 in Jackson, CA at the age of 63. He was born on December 24, 1946 in Modesto, CA. Doug graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles in 1971 and began practicing in Alamo, CA while also serving his country in the Army National Guard. In 1982, Doug relocated his family to Jackson, where he had a thriving practice to this day. He was actively involved in the community, contributing in such ways as the President of the Chamber of Commerce, a volunteer physician for youth sports, and a supporter of the firefighters during the 1992 Old Gulch Fires. During those fires, he personally delivered food to the front lines. He is survived by his best friend and life-long love, his wife Terri. They were married for forty-three years, had two children and three grandchildren together. Son Michael, his wife Lisa, and their son, Dillan Douglas. Daughter Lori, her husband Adrian Perica, and their children, Aidan Reece and Tinsley Pearl. He is also survived by his mother Mary, brother Herb and many nieces and nephews. Doug enjoyed life, but family was always first. He covered the walls in his office with pictures of those whom meant the world to him. His patients and friends endured many updates on his growing family, and the joy he felt when talking about them was visible from ear to ear. He spent his evenings making recipes with his family and getting quizzed by the television during Jeopardy episodes. Doug loved being outdoors. You could always find him getting a breath of fresh air while tinkering around his acreage or camping with his wife in Pipi Valley. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate his life on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 3:30pm. The service will be held at Daneri Mortuary, located at 415 Broadway, Jackson, CA. Donations in his memory may be made to The Amador Child Abuse Prevention Council.
