Obituary of Michael R Schneider

Michael R. Schneider passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 in Sacramento at the age of 67 years, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born January 5, 1943 to Otto and Margaret Schneider in Rolla, Missouri. Mike graduated from Folsom High School and American River Junior College. He worked in banking for Crocker Bank, Wells Fargo, Bank of Paradise, Central Sierra Bank, and Umpqua Bank, retiring after 38 years. Mike was past President of Jackson Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow. As President of the Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce in 1983, he was thrilled to throw out the first pitch on June 4 for the San Francisco Giants. In typical Mike style, he was wearing his cowboy boots on the mound. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Eloise (Elli), children Trine, Angela and Kurt; brothers Larry (Sharon), Gary (Carleen), Phil, Virgil (Theresa); sisters Judy Godney, Melodie Schneider, and Trixie Jones; many nieces, nephews and their families. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, 115 Court Street, Jackson, CA. Inurnment will be private.
