Obituary of Carl C. Hogan

Carl C. Hogan passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 in Jackson at the age of 79 years. He was born August 17, 1930 to Carney and Alice (Pettitt) Hogan in Norman, Arkansas. Carl married Betty Partridge on August 14, 1949 in Stockton. He worked 47 years in the Lumber industry and was a lumber inspector for many years. He was a 50 year member of the Volcano Masonic Lodge #56, was the founder of their Bikes for Books fund raiser encouraging children to read, and also volunteered at the Interfaith Food Bank in Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty Hogan of Sutter Creek; children, Dennis Hogan of Olympia, WA, Karen Kloppenburg of North Fork, CA; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rob Hogan. At the family's request there will be no services. Inurnment will private.
