Obituary of Starlene Baird

Starlene "Grandma Star" Baird passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 in Jackson, at the age of 65 years. Star was born May 18, 1945 to Eugene and Helena (Solomon) Freije at the Alameda Naval Base in Alameda, CA. She was raised in the Hayward and Oakland areas graduating from Mt. Eden High School. Star moved to Amador County in 1990 and worked at the Jackson Rancheria until retiring in 2009. She adored her grandchildren and would spend every spare moment she had with them. She was looking forward to the arrival of Avery in August. Star was a free spirit who loved people especially children, she was everyone's "Grandma Star". She was also very proud of her boys and the men they have become. She is survived by her sons, Mike Munroe and his wife, Maria of Sacramento, Mat Baird and his wife, Robyn of Stockton; step-brother, Mike Haddad; step-sister, Launi Zamora; grandchildren, Colton, Dylan, Brooke, Austin, Cheyna, Brad, Peter, Marissa, Indira, Carolina, Laura, Nycole, Little James, Avery on the way; great grandchildren, Elena, Eva and her companion, George. Last but certainly not least in her life, her best friend, her dog, Angel whom she took everywhere. Friends are invited to a celebration of life Saturday, July 17, 2010, 1:00 P.M. at the 49er Sports Grill, banquet room, 13 Ridge Rd., Sutter Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to A-Pal, P. O.
