Obituary of Gregory "Greg" Andrew DeGeorge

Greg passed away at his home in Jackson at the age of 39. He was born in Covina, CA, attended Plymouth Elementary and graduated from Amador High School. Greg was involved with the Claypipers Theatre Group in Drytown, enjoyed playing pool and darts. He loved to golf, fish, and was an avid bowler winning numerous trophies and 3 rings for his 300 point games. Greg was a volunteer firefighter for Plymouth and Jackson Fire Departments. Greg is survived by his parents, Thelma Gray of Plymouth, Tom and Gay DeGeorge of Stockton; his daughter, Amethyst "Amy" Rose Day of Sutter Creek; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Doug Poor, Evelyn and Terry Coulter, Maria and Rocky Moreno all of Plymouth; step-brothers, Donald Gray, Danny Gray, Louis Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews. Greg was preceded in death by his step-father, Frank Gray, Sr. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, Monday, June 28 at 10:00 A.M. at Daneri Mortuary Chapel in Jackson. Inurnment will be private. A fund has been set up for Greg's daughter, Amy and contributions may be made at any El Dorado Savings Bank.
