Obituary of John Baglietto

John Baglietto passed away on June 14, 2010 at his home in Jackson, California with family at his side. He was born in Oakland, California on April 10, 1921 to Bartolmeo and Maria Baglietto. John served in the United States Army during WWII, was stationed in Alaska and entertained the troops with his accordion. He married Florence Parodi on February 10, 1946 and they raised three daughters in Pittsburg, California. John and Florence moved to the Jackson Area in 1971. John will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Florence (Parodi) Baglietto. He also leaves behind his devoted daughters and their spouses, Sally Hurtado (Mike) of Pittsburg, Christine Swett (Donald) of Jackson and Patricia DiMercurio (Joseph) of Ione. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Thomas Swett (Jill), Christina Vaifanua (Howard), Michael John Hurtado (Audrey), Tara Maggi (Mike) and nine great-grandchildren. A celebration of John's life will be held on Friday, June 18th, 1:00 pm, at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
