Obituary of B. Layne McCollum

B. Layne McCollum earned his wings on Thursday March 16, 2023, in Volcano CA. He was born on February 15, 1953, in Chattanooga TN. to Wilbert and Barbara McCollum.

Layne graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 1974 and went on to live his dream of being an international chef.

Layne loved animals and being in nature. One of his favorite past times was riding his motorcycle through the Amador County backroads. Layne was well loved by his family and friends and will be forever remembered for his kindness, integrity and great sense of humor
