Obituary of Vladislava Solunac
Vladislava Solunac, 87, entered eternal repose October 22, 2023, in Carmichael, CA. She was born on June 6, 1936, in Kladovo, Jugoslavija to Nikola and Jelena Marković.
Vojka, as she was known to her friends, was a rare soul… filled with care, love, and empathy. She gave of herself unflinchingly and unreservedly. Often to the delight of friends and family, she prepared extraordinary meals. Her Serbian delicacies were frequently lauded and always in high demand at church events. Her garden was a sight to behold, with a myriad flowers and plants, from all corners of the globe. She adored orchids and roses, and always had fresh cut flowers near her.
Following her marriage to Miodrag Solunac in Paris, France, Vladislava emigrated to the United States in 1964. She is preceded in passing by her husband, and her brothers Stanoje Marković, and Nikola Marković, of Serbia.
Vladislava is survived by her son, Nebojša Solunac of San Antonio, TX; Nevenka Solunac, Miodrag Solunac, and AvaMae Solunac of Sacramento, CA.
The family will receive friends at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church on October 31, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00a.m. Interment will take place at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, Jackson, CA.
