Obituary of Kathryn Jean Rimmel

Kathryn Jean Rimmel passed away on November 12, 2023. Katy was born on January 2, 1940, in Hanford, CA, to Frank and Ola Schoefer.

 

Katy graduated from Downey High School in Modesto. In 1958 she married Dick Rimmel, her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 66 years. They then moved to San Diego, CA. After 23 moves with Dick’s Navy career, they landed in Pine Grove, CA, where they have resided since 1995.
 

Katy is survived by her husband, Dick; three daughters, Debbie Lofton of Idaho, Deanna Henderson of Poway, CA, and Donna Morman of AZ. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Barbara Morgan of Elk Grove, CA, and Jo Smith of MO.
