Obituary of Janet m Westerman

Janet M. Westerman passed away December 25, 2023, in Jackson, CA at the age of 87. She was born July 7, 1936, in Sacramento, CA. She was born Janet L. Samis, to Ray and Evelyn Samis (Mayfield) and was later adopted by Everett Mayfield. Amador County was the home to five generations.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Jamie Nichols of Ione, CA; sons, Karey Westerman of Pine Grove, CA and Randy Westerman of Jackson, CA; seven grandchildren: Kenny (Cristal) Westerman of Valley Springs, CA, Heather (Jared) Konvalin of Ione, CA, Teresa (Rudy) Adkins of Pine Grove, CA, Shea Westerman of Jackson, CA, Kari Westerman of Denton, TX, Johnny Nichols (Amy Brower) of Valley Springs, CA, Justin Nichols of Sacramento, CA; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several very loved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by Everett Theodore Mayfield, Evelyn Francis Mayfield, Charlotte Baird (sister). 

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service held at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, CA on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Donations can be made in Janet’s name to Alzheimer research at 22512 Gateway Dr. Clarksburg, MD 20871.
